Same at the top and the bottom of the thread for me, Pixie, but from that, without counting, I wouldn't have a clue which number middling posts fell at. I'm assuming people are talking about individual numbering. Probably misunderstanding. Perhaps they're counting.

Maybe naomi, some are obvious at the top or bottom of a page, but latest posts and the numbering seems the same as always to me.

Yes, is at the top as well. "41 to 48 of 48". That's ok.

The posts are not numbered on each page, it's just a matter of counting them.Now the counter is back to being two out.

It looks like when a post is the first (or in this thread, one of the first two) on a new page, it doesn't show until the counter thinks there is an additional page.

This needs to be sorted because folk can be posting but it may be it won't appear until another post follows it.

I don't understand what triggers it. But it doesn't affect all threads. Seems almost random. I thought maybe it was if two posts arrived at once but that can't be it either.
