Hi, after a recent post about die cutters and which one would be best to get in celebration of my birthday, yay! I am now the proud, but broke, owner of a sizzex die cutting machine. I have a sizzlet converter and two sets of sizzlets, and alphabet (fruit smoothie) and a selection of geometric shapes etc and a few heart shapes too.

Now, my question, I was trying to use my die cutter with converter and sizzlet dies to cut some fabric shapes. I firstly ironed the fabric onto some very lightweight interfacing to make it not fray and also to make it more stable and then tried to cut it. But, the dies just won't go through it. I just can't make it work. They leave an impression, but don't cut it. I am very dissappointed because the advert says it should be able to cut fabric and I can't get it to do so. The fabrics were of differeing weights and weaves and I just can't work out for the life of me why they don't work properly.

What am I doing wrong??? someone please help this sizzex virgin. I did have a very nice lady reply to my last post and she was very knowledable about such things, so maybe you can help me again.

thanks for everything, sad and incompetent in west sussex
