As part of the ruling majority in Parliament, why aren't there any candidates from the DUP for PM ?

[... or perhaps there will be soon ;-)]

The election is NOT to appoint a Prime Minister but to appoint a new leader of the Conservative Party. The fact that the Queen will then automatically invite the appointee to lead her Government is irrelevant ; it's a party leader who is being elected, so only Conservatives are eligible to stand.

Because they are not part of the majority government.
Because they are the Democratic Unionist Party, not the Conservative and Unionist Party. They have an arrangement called a confidence and supply’ deal.

Why would there ever be candidates from party B standing for leadership of party A ?

Makes no sense. And I assume against the rules.

My bad - sorry folks :-(
There's no need to apologize. If you don't know something, you don't know it.
Eh, we all make mistakes. At least you've owned up to it quickly.

Ahem.
Well, there are always exceptions of course.

Personally. I don't think Ukip will disappear.
I think the LibunDems had a bit of a freak result in the local elections and are getting carried away with themselves.
The only way Tommy won't be elected is if the fix is well and truly in.
But hope you're right about the other things.

What happened here then, Spice?
Alright, I make mistakes. Shoot me.
