Choose the resort from the drop down list and you wil see it listed by hotel. Read through a few and it will give you an idea of the resort.

Hi twiggy

I've used this small independent company in the past and can recommend them:

We have stayed in Cotillo (self-catering at El Caleton) which is really peaceful and has some beautiful quiet beaches - relaxation guaranteed! Depends if you're looking for night life though. All Cotillo has in that department is a few bars and restaurants which suited us. A car is a must. Some supermarkets in Cotillo itself but larger ones in Corralejo. If you really want to 'get away from it all' then Cotillo is the place to go.

Hi Twiggy,

I live in Corralejo and without a doubt its the best area of Fuerte to visit.

'Oasis Papagayo' and 'Fiesta gardens' are both worth checking out on the net as they sometimes do deals where you can stay for less than 5 per night per room.

The town itself has grown quite large in the last few years and most of the hotels are about a 20 minute walk from 'old town' this is where most of the bars and restaurants are hidden. But cabs are less than 3 from one end of town to the other. The beaches are beautiful and very peaceful, the food here is incredible (about 35 per couple for a 3 course meal and a bottle of wine). If you are thinking of going 'all inclusive' please dont. The food and drink here is not expensive, and staying in the same hotel means you miss out on so much of our culture.

Check out Here Here and Here for the islands main websites.
GOOD LUCK!

hi

I have been to corralejo, caleta de fuste, jandia and costa calma, I would reccomend jandia, the beaches are stunning and it has lots to offer, worth the longer transfer from airport. We stayed between jandia and costa calma at a hotel called sunrise beach, it normally only takes german guests and was superb.I have also stayed at barcelo in caleta de fuste, again superb hotel, but the man made beach did not impress me.Corralejo was pleasand, but the sea was rough, and I don't care for shingly beaches. But that is just my opinion!

The sea in corralejo is only rough when its rough all over the island! and as for shingly, i dont know what beach you were going to... Corralejo is known throughout the Canaries for its sandy dunes!
