Ive just bought a left handed guitar (playing right handed feels weird!) and i'm new to this whole guitar business. What disadvantages are there to me being left handed? Will I still be able to reads guitar tabs properly?

The only disadvantages to playing a left-hooker ...are the guitars are so blooming expensive ...

other than that you should do fine ... once you can read tabs, it doesn't matter which way round you play ...you'll suss it out
If you go here to this chord chart, you can click to show chords in left hand format.

Happy playing
Hendrix was left handed, so I don't think there can be any disadvantages.
Ah, yes ...but hendrix didn't buy a left-handed guitar, did he
The left hand does all the tricky stuff, on an ordinary guitar, so it probably already is the only left -handed instrument! Therefore, why bother trying to play it in what amounts to a right-handed way?
