We have the most beautifull, healthy Hosta plant, which gets better each year! It's just coming into bloom, so is this the right/wrong time to split it into more plants to give to our 2 daughters?

Beautiful even!
All of my books, (got loads of them, everytime I go into a charity shop I buy another!) say divide in spring, so I'm sure you'll be ok.Just keep them well watered & maybe a feed. The only thing that's ever destroyed mine are snails & slugs. Will try your suggestion on your next post, sounds like a good idea!

Thanks noddy, I shall venture out in the garden & do that now! (You sound just like my husband, every time he pops to town, he comes back with even more 'charity' shop books. The other week he came back with a furniture restoration book, that I'd taken to the British Heart Foundation shop the week before!). I'm off to re-pot my Hosta now - thanks again!
