I find the mindset of many of the responders far more questionable than his confession. He is to be commended for his honesty and willingness to acknowledge the less admirable nature of his former self.

Not being a total conspiracy theory person myself, I just don't understand why he didn't have his own or the film companies PR people present when he was giving an interview. Was it a foolish attempt to promote his new film just before it was released that backfired?
