Would someone please confirm that the Euro is NOT the currency for the Czech Republic?

Thanks rinkytink, I have just bought korunas from the Post Office but some idiot has tried to insist that as the Czech Republic is in the EU now that Euros will be necessary. I used all the sensible arguments but eventually turned to AB. Cheers

Yip, your friend's argument makes no sense. The UK is in the EU and doesn't use the Euro. And anyway the Czech Republic isn't in the EU until tomorrow.
