Someone in the office pointed something interesting out to me and I would like to get some ABer's views.

Do you recall seeing any adverts for domestic violence support who victims can contact? Specifically, for victims from ethnic minority communities, especially for those who cannot speak or read English or face other more cultural barriers.

Someone had asked my work colleague about domestic violence help and awareness in the UK and he could only mention a few adverts and organisations, e.g. at bus stops etc, but neither of us could recall any adverts for help for victims from ethnic minorities.

Can other ABer's recall seeing such adverts and where? I wonder why there is not much awareness for ethnic minority groups seeking help?

I've seen loads in libraries, community centres etc - I think it depends on the area you live in. A lot of the support networks for more "restricted" communities are advertised by reputation. Here are a few...

Generally only see this sort of 'advertising for support' after shows that have shown domestic violence. It isn't mentioned enough, I often see stuff about it in magazines but I cannot remember seeing an ad on tv - surley they could tackle on a simular approach to childline/nspcc ads? Something more needs to be done about this situation for all people.
