Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

An interesting treatment of a theme that I happened to come across not 4 hours ago, which certainly helped in identifying what was going on. This felt like a classic solid Listener, with plenty thematic material, a nice PDM or two and not too much grid-staring for the endgame. Thank you Dysart

Indeed a very fine puzzle which treated the theme both elegantly and respectfully. Not too hard although it took me ages to find the cryptic representation of one of the works. Perhaps it would have helped if I'd been looking for the right one. Thank you Dysart.

I must be totally dumb as it must have taken almost half as long for the grid stare as to solve the clues, not helped by finding another potential cryptic representation over and over again! I suppose it couldn't be classed as a line to be fair.

Struggling with the two other titles used in the later work. Interesting but hardly relevant anagram in the first column.

Yes, a fine theme, and it took me a while spotting the highlighting. I didn't help that I was unsure of the scope of 'two others used in the later work', but all done now. Thanks Dysart!

Very good - a long, grey Sunday afternoon nicely filled & all done by teatime.

Tricky clues - took me longer than usual to get a decent toehold in the grid, but then proceeded more quickly as the quote appeared.

Grid staring wasn't too horrible - an apposite theme and an excellent puzzle.

I was sort of expecting the general theme, are puzzles like this commissioned do you know or is it serendipity? Familiarity with the specific theme helped tremendously. A classical puzzle.
