Does anyone know if C T Burrows and Son are still in business as silver platers in Birmingham? I know they started up in 1903 but unable to find any more details about company.

Doubtful if they are still in business judging by the hallmark mentioned here.

Thanks Dannyk13, I agree but there are many items listed for sale, labelled 'vintage'. Just wondered when they went out of business. My heavy fish slice and fork look about 1920s - functional!
Charles Truman Burrows and Son were located at 59 Branston Street in Birmingham. All of the old buildings there have been cleared to make way for modern apartments. In the absence of any Google references to the company still existing, and with the Companies House website showing no matching company name (or variation on it), it seems reasonable to assume the the firm disappeared many years ago.

The Heritage Research Area at the Library of Birmingham might hold trade directories or other materials which could provide further information.
