Last Kiss - Pearl Jam.

I heard the song on the radio on my headphones while I was out one day and just started crying! It's about a guy losing the girl he loves in a car crash, it's so sad. I'm welling up thinking about it now.

Hi posy-jo , The song smoke by natalie umbruglia always bring's tears to my eye. Also when Princess Diana died they kept putting gentle songs on the radio when i hear them now it reminds me
The songs where :
Missing you _ Puff Daddy
Angel _ Annie Lennox
Who want's to live forever _ Queen
xx
Run by Snow Patrol........for some reason, my wee boy absolutely adores this song, and has done since he was very small, it's always soothed him. I heard that it was written by a member of the band about his family, and it just kind of fits. We've got a copies of it, and all the videos, live performances etc that he loves to watch, on a disc in his memories box.

Chorus:
Light up, light up
As if you have no choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear.

I always think of it as "our" song, and hope he knows that I'll always be there with him, and for him.

can I just say guys, some of the choices here have been beautiful, moving and so very, very emotive. Thanks for sharing, great question Posy. xxxx p.s. call yet?
i actually feel good, all the songs are special to me, and a couple are sad, but mostly i feel glad tohave people that songs can mean so much about!
boobesque...I agree, not sad at all xx
The most moving song for me is Goodby my Friend by Karla Bonnof. It was played at a funeral and during it, his wife, sons and best friends all gathered around his coffin with red roses. It was a really touching and moving moment and it has always stayed with me, so much so that now when I hear the song, I can't help it but cry!! I even cried in a pub once cos they played it!!

Oh, we never know where life will take us
We know it's just a ride on the wheel
And we never know when death will shake us
And we wonder how it will feel, so

Good-bye, my friend
I know I'll never see you again
But the time together through all the years
Will take away the tears
It's ok now
Good-bye, my friend

I've seen alot of things that made me crazy
And I guess I held on to you
I could have run away and left, well maybe,
But it wasn't time and we both knew, so

Good-bye, my friend
I know I'll never see you again
But the love you gave me through all the years
Will take away my tears
I'm ok now
Good-bye, my friend

Life's so fragile and love's so pure
We can't hold on but we try
We watch how quickly it disappears
And we'll never know why
But I'm ok now
Good-bye, my friend
You can go now
Good-bye, my friend
sissel - where the lost ones go....

it reminds me of someone i loved dearly, and we just didnt have time on our side....

Leave and let me go
You're not meant for me, I know
Carry on, carry on, and I'll stay strong

Leave and let me go
I will think of you, I know
But carry on, carry on, and I'll stay strong

Someone else will keep you warm, from now on
Someone else will keep you safe from the storm
But I'll be with you wherever you go
So you will never be alone
I'm going where the wind blows
Going where the lost ones go

I will be with you
I'm losing the love I found
Crying without a sound
Where have you gone?
I will be with you
You were my fool for love
Sent me from high above
You were the one
I will be with you
I'm going where the wind blows
Going where the lost ones go

Leave and let me go
Don't look back just let me know
You'll carry on, carry on, you must stay strong

Nothing ever looks the same in the light
Nothing ever seems to quite turn out right
But when you realize that you have been loved
You will never be alone
I'm going where the wind blows
Going where the lost ones go

I will be with you
I'm losing the love I found
Crying without a sound
Where have you gone?
I will be with you
You were my fool for love
Sent me from high above
You were the one
I will be with you
I'm going where the wind blows
Going where the lost ones go

Leave and let me go
Baby I can't come along
So carry on, carry on, you must stay strong

i'm crying again now!!!! some beautiful choices xXx

kick no he hasn't called!!
Everybody hurts-REM.
Not a choice that would instantly spring to most people's mind but Mr Blue Sky by ELO. My husband loves this band and when our girls were born and shown to him before being taken off to Special Care the first words ever spoken to them by him were ' Hey you with the pretty face, welcome to the human race'
4 and a half years on it's one of the girls favourite songs and every time I hear them sing that line it just makes my heart swell.
Also, Shania Twain's 'Still the one' because I've been with my husband for 13 years and this song sums up exactly how I feel about him still.
How to play dead ~ Snow Patrol, its about arguing with your partner ans I was doing that a lot, or he was bullying me rather I found it comforting. I still love it now.

Good Souls ~ Starsailor, esp live versions, just uber uplifting. Apparently written when he was 14 omfg.
