Hi, whenever I shave my legs I always get this rash...it's like little red bumps where the hairs were. They tend to go all red and raw looking and a re never completely smooth. What can i do to get really really smooth legs with no trace of stubble ?I already use a good, new razor and shaving gel....Thanks

What is causing the rash is the blade of the razor.Hair removal cream does not cause a rash but for some women it does leave stubble.Your best bet would be to use an eplicator or wax.
Well, it depends on how often you shave your legs and how long they get to soak for.

Legs always come up smoother if the hairs have had time to get soft in warm water. I do my legs last if I'm in the bath, so they've probably been in for about 15mins.

And make sure you exfoliate your legs before you shave, even if it's just giving them a bit of a rub with the rough side of your sponge or a flannel.

And it could also be partly due to this heat!

Lastly, the less often you shave your legs, or the longer you leave between shaving sessions, the better they come up. that's what I always find anyway!
and always remember that you are probably examining your legs up close. Any other person would not notice the spotty bits.

I get this on my legs and find that exfoliating gently sometimes help. I have had my legs lasered once or twice to help reduce the hair growth - works but is expensive.
I used to get the same reaction until a friend suggested I put conditioner on my legs and then shave it off. Sounds daft, but it works for me. Leaves your legs soft as well.
I was just going to suggest hair conditioner as well. Don't buy an expensive one for your legs though - the cheapy own brands will do.
I get the same even though I have been using a new razor each time and sensitive gel/foam.

However I have found that since using the new venus vibrance ( the vibrating one) that this has almost completely stopped, and any that I do get I treat with Tea Tree Oil.

Tea Tree Oil is amazing stuff for stubble rash - I can't recommend it highly enough!
Well it was on this site someone mentioned the epilators and I now have the Silk Epil and I have thrown away all my razors for good and no rashes !!
I use Intuition razor. It`s absolutely brilliant. I have sensitive skin, but had NO problems since using this. Not even on bikini line.
