Has anybody got strange fears? For example, I hate if I have to stand over the plughole I'm having a shower! Weird.

butterflies!
the flapping , their painted bodies, arrrrgh god they creep me out. horrible.
if i go out in the garden to sit in the sun i always make sure my flat windows are shut so they can't sneak in, its ok when i am in the flat cos i can watch for them
yuck!!
aka pixi - my point exactly, they do taste completely different.
I mentioned this 'phobia' to some colleagues in work and they thought I was nuts. Yet one of the said colleagues has a fear of fish, so much so that she wont even go near a fish finger, and she thinks I am nuts!
I hate cracked glass. In a window. If it's cracked and then spreads all over it like a spiders web, eurgh. Just thinking about it now is horrible...sends this weird shivery feeling down my spine and makes me feel nauseous. Completely broken glass, fine!

Oh and I also HATE people biting my bum and feel exposed when I lie on my front on a sunlounger. Really that's only for mr wilsarnie to worry about though! lol!
Not really a fear but just thought of something else I really hate... the feeling of wet cotton wool or tissue... and cardboard boxes... Random I know, but yuck!
I can't wear long-sleeved shirts. They make my skin crawl. For some reason, suit jackets/coats are OK. Maybe it's because there's the safety of short sleeves underneath. I also can't have my feet covered in bed. If my feet touch the end of the sheets/blankie, I must kick them off.

I think the two are related - just can't stand to have my limbs constrained. My husband says I've an aversion to being bound. It's probably because I had lots of operations as a kid and couldn't bear to be strapped to the operating table. A few years ago I had surgery - in the moments before the drugs kicked in, I went absolutely nutso from the tightness of the oxygen mask and table restraints. **shudder**
i,ve got a strange one with heights. i'm fine in planes and in those glass elevators on the outside of builidings. but if i have to walk across a high bridge i balk. and the thought of looking over the edge of a skyscraper is a bad one.
i know a couple of people who say that a lot of people who look over the edge of tall buildings feel an irrational urge to jump!!
