Do secular materialistic humanist atheists ever delve into the evidence for their faith, (which is what it is), or simply swallow the drivel poured out by the likes of Richard Dawkins, or even worse, shape their world view simply because they did not bump into Jesus whilst walking down the street today?
Not doing your own research is lazy, and leaves you open to the next spoon fed populist theory.
What do you think?

Told you before, Theland. I read the Bible thoroughly, didn't believe a word and got a CSE on the subject, despite being an atheist. People scoff at the Gods the Ancient Greeks and Romans believed in but they are no more (nor less) believable than your God. And the stories are far better.
// And the stories are far better//
And juicier....
None of all that constant smiting, killing and stoning to death found in the old testament.
You know? The stuff that Bible believing Christians gloss over (most probably because theyve never read it)
I can't believe the gullibility of some people who join religious sects. They cough up vast amounts of money, let the leaders sleep with their wives and let them control their lives.
We dont have beliefs, we just dont share yours, live with it rather than thinking in some way you know better than everyone else.
Melvs: it's because some of the various religious movements have a surprisingly high sects appeal.
LOL @ Jim ^^
Nice one, jimbob.
On a more serious note, its worth noting that EVERY sect of Christianity has considered itself the 'correct' sect and that everyone else is misinformed in some way.
The Catholics believe that the Protestants are apostates. The Methodists sprang out of the C of E who considered that the C of E were 'worldly'. The Charismatic movement (Pentecostals etc) considered that all churches except their own had the spirit of God, the JW's and Adventists etc sprang out of Protestantism but with a different theology,
The list can go on and on and on....
(And yet Theland continually avoids telling us exactly what denomination he subscribes too)
Does anyone here actually know what Thelands beliefs are?
He bangs on about been a Bible believer, but in what sense?
He has never once acknowledged an alliagence with a particular denomination.
He's a delusional Pentecostal Adventist, nailet:-)
