Push Messages on Mobile Phones

I've just got a new mobile phone. When playing around with the different menus I found a "Push Message" option. I have the option of allowing, or not allowing, push messages. Unfortunately I can't find any refernce to what Puish Messages are in the manual.

What are Push Messages and should I allow them??

Push Messeges are messages sent from Premium Content people such as ringtone companies or sometimes your Mobile Operator and once opened they will take you to a particular WAP internet site.. probably to get you to buy something.

Can get annoying.. and you could be charged.
