Haven't spotted the one I saw last week again - it better come back, I've got a hedgehog house, infra-red camera and 20m of cable coming tomorrow.

I wouldn't worry to much, gness. Probably trying out a different hunting ground, they'll be back when the relise that the grass is not always Greener.
Some training is clearly called for ;-)

I hope that they turn up. I used to have hedgehogs visit my house every night but that was many years ago. I've not seen any for ages :(

However Ipswich (just down the road from me) is striving to become the most hedgehog-friendly town in England, so perhaps some of them will find their way out here too:

That's great, Chris...and I read that lots of universities are trying to have a hog friendly campus.....that will be bliss....x
I wouldn't put any food out for them until you see them again, gness.

But that will mean sitting on the patio with wine until the early hours though, Tony....

On the other hand....not much wrong with that!... :-)

Oh you have to have a BA for that, Sherr.....I know what it's like...you spend an arm and a leg when one arrives to encourage it to stay.....then the *** clears off!
That is shame, I hope they return soon.
Sherr, your cat might move into the little house.

:-)

I hope so, Marval.....I have loved watching them.....especially the one that came at nine thirty every night....now the food just stays there....

Daft isn't it.....to get attached to hedgehogs!!!!
I've also got dried and rehydrated mealworms out and my conservatory windows are filthy from us all peering out.
Wolf - my cat's too pampered to move out :)

Bliss when they crunch the dried mealworms.....x
I have a camera now to see the hedgehog. Saw the photos at the weekend and he came 4 nights in a row about 1 am - too late for me to be up. Then no sign for several nights. At least I saw him eating the food was wondering if rats were getting it.
Trouble is the batteries don't last long in the camera. Have now got it set for nighttime only. I should imagine they will be back gness. They have quite a large territory for their size.
I love hedgehogs. Great to see them.
they've probably been frightened off by a big bloke clanking around with keys in his underpants

You calling me a clanker, ael?
