Much easier than last week's offering, but with a nice mix of easy and trickier clues. It also showed that the Chambers CDROM has had its day in a way, as the boundary is not there, but it is in the printed version. I also suspect that the internet is now included in the setter's guidelines by default. Thanks Verbascum, I really enjoyed that and learned something new (again).

All that is required to complete this puzzle is Chambers and ODE. The internet is not required in this instance.
Straightforward, but adding another small tessera to my mosaic of knowledge. Nothing to grumble about
Yes, this was very enjoyable and a welcome respite from last week's marathon. I'm reasonably familiar with the theme, so once I'd found the boundary, resolving the clashes was straightforward. I still have one blank cell staring at me though! Thanks Verbascum
Starwalker, the boundary is in my version of the Chambers CDROM.

I thought this was a poor showing though. Too many clues which were not of Listener standard and one or two curious definitions.

Like my football team at the moment … pointless.

Alekhine, you are correct. Not sure how I missed it.
A simple distraction - not the best Listener ever, but a pleasant enough stroll in my slightly debilitated state today.

Thanks Verbascum - just what I needed
Balm to the brain after last week's travails. I too learned something new, and was very relieved that we didn't need more than a superficial application of the scary-looking source material to solve this. Thank you Verbascum, just what the doctor ordered.

If I've got the dates right, next week's a pass for those who come to the Listener for word puzzles?
Decent enough after last week's onslaught and no problem researching this one! BRB only required which is a plus in my book.

Thanks Verbascum -- a fine testimony to a great man.
Grid blindness at the final hurdle doubled the length of time to solve a very pleasant puzzle.
