I have naturally straight hair and have a fairly decent pair of straighners by Futura. I would like to know how to curl my hair using the straightners as a friend of mine did her hair herself this way and it looks lovely! She said that she wrapped her hair round the straightners, but I've tried and it didn't curl at all! Could anyone give me some advice on how I could achieve the loose curl look?. I was thinking about investing in a pair of GHD Straightners as they are meant to be brilliant.

If you're going to shell out on straighteners to curl your hair, why don't you just buy some curling tongs?  Or the type that straightens and curls.  Also if you have naturally straght hair I wouldn't advise spending lots of money (GHD prices!) on making it straight!

The second link is GHD.

That one above is people suggesting ways how to curl hair with straighteners.

And if you're interested I have really thick wavy hair and the Trevor Sorbie Drop Curl Tongs work well on mine and the Remington Slim Ceramic Straightners work really good too, so it shows you don't have to pay out loads if you don't want to!

you dont wrap your hair round the straightners, you start as normal pulling the straigtners down the hair and then as you are in the middle of the length begin the turn the straightners as if u were going to flick the hair out, as you pull thru the hair keep twisting the straightners and you will have tousled curls. it takes some time to perfect but you can get a great look thats better than any tings, i hope this helps. ell_em
