Netty, in the Revised Standard Version - and perhaps others - of the Bible, the word 'nephilim' appears twice. Click http://bible1.crosswalk.com/OnlineStudyBible/bible

for the appropriate references. I did my Crosswalk search yesterday only in the King James' Version.

There, this Hebrew word appears nowhere and is translated simply as 'giants'. As I believe someone pointed out in your earlier query, these were supposedly the offspring of fallen angels and human women.
