Outside of the home and inside if the numbers become beyond 10.

Would this be a good idea in your eyes?

Currently public based religion allows the worlds secret police to infiltrate and gain understanding of what makes certain people/groups tick so would removing this yieldy source of intel be a good or bad idea?

The police don't just infiltrate religious groups. Football supporters and extreme political groups are infiltrated as well,so are anti and pro hunting groups and groups like CND. You would have to ban all meetings between more than say 4 people. Pol Pot's Cambodia tried it, their version of Utopia also included the abolition of money and personal property. It DID NOT end well.
