1909? Was she even born then?
Question Author
I believe she was born in 1909 in LEYTONSTONE.
She died disorientated in COLCHESTER. 1)
But she lived ages in BEXHILL. 2)
Not sure if the answer is 1) or 2)
Contemporary newspaper reports refer to her dying in a nursing home in East Sussex. e.g.:
http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/12538221.Fanny__TV_apos_s_most_famous_cook_dies_at_84/

Several biography sites (and Wikipedia) state that the nursing home was Ersham House in Hailsham. e.g.:

That nursing home certainly exists

and it seems hard to think of a reason as to why it could have been incorrectly given as the place of her death.
