We went to Treport today and had a boat trip. It was very rough, the waves were breaking over the boat but we were inside! A lady sat behind me was crying and saying never again. We enjoyed it but the only thing against it was we didn't return to the same place we started from. OH had to walk 3/4 of a mile to get back to the car.
We also went on a magnificent funicular from high above the town to the seafront. It was free to use. It must have cost millions to. Hill. Fantastic.

That sounds like a nice day (although, as I'm not a good sailor, I'm unsure as to how much I'd have enjoyed the boat trip).

Fabulous pictures chris, I'd like to be there tomorrow .

I'd love to join you, Anne!

For now though I'll probably have to settle for using the ferry service between Felixstowe and Harwich. It's an interesting trip because there are some nice places to eat and drink when you get to Harwich. Like Caran's boat trip though, the waves often come over the boat and, as most of the seats aren't in the covered area, passengers can get very wet!

It can also be alarming when there are ships going in and out of Felixstowe Docks. They're just a bit bigger than the ferry ;-)

Oh no, I'm not getting in that wee boat :-(
