I wouldn't have the nerve.. FIL always "lost" things in respite care... including money... in the end I gave wallet to the ward sister who would buy what he needed and kept receipts for me...

It's stealing, pure and simple. I suppose customers don't think of it as that, or don't care. I don't use the self service tills any more, they don't like me and always play up.

I don't like self service tills, either. Particularly when I have to get an employee to tell the machine I'm old enough to be buying strong drink.
