hiya im just wondering what the age restriction is for going abroad without parental supervison? this is because my 16 year old daughter wants to go abroad with her mates who are 17 and 18 is this possible?

She is your daughter and you know best, but to let a 16yr old go on holiday without an adult is surely asking for trouble, theres the booze and the sex for starters and though she might be quite grown up and sensible she is no match for a 21yr old foreign romeo.
I dont think a tour company will accept their booking anyway, who will be responsible for them in case of an accident or god forbid rape ?. pls think again and wait till she is 18and old enough to take resposibility for herself.
As long as they are with a reponsible adult there is no age restriction, & the 18 year olds would qualify for the reponsible adult anyhow. Most even class 16 as the age of an appropriate adult these days.

Just a few years ago I often travelled abroad when under the age of 18 with friends the same age as myself without problem & feel this has benefited me in life.
nice reassuring thoughts there de sa, my sister and her pals toured all over when they were that age. although valid points you make, you have to give the girl's some credit for common sense and there is safety in numbers.
