Hi there the last few days I have had chest pain on my left hand side near my left nipple but only when swallowing and after eating. I get this sharp stabbing pain and I burp a lot. I take lansoprazole twice a day.

IMO only...the tablets are detrimental to you. However I'm sure it will be contested.... You have to go with what you feel for yourself x
Does the burp relieve the sharp pain?

Either way, mention it when you go back for your other issue.
No big deal.
With your history is is probably due to acid in the gullet (reflex oesophagitis. )
Carry on with the Lansoprazole and try to identify the foods that bring it on.
What drugs are you taking for your heart problems and diabetes.
Join the club. I could have written that with what I've gone through this last six weeks or so. Got nowhere having seen three different GP's - the fourth sent me to hospital where I had a CT scan.

Turns out I have a hiatus hernia. I need an MRI and an endoscopy to determine the severity, but I reckon I'm looking at surgery. No real worries on the operation if I need it, just a question of how long I wait.
If you don't mind me asking Geordie, how old are you ?
