I personally wouldn`t recommend you use either of the two products mentioned. Nothing that is sold over the counter to whiten your teeth contains the right strength of carbamide peroxide. The products you mentioned are only likely to be sold under a "cosmetic" licence as opposed to a "medical" one, so I would recommend for best results that you go and see your dentist who can take moulds of your teeth, so that the bleaching trays are custom made to fit your mouth perfectly. You are also carefully monitored by a Professional, who can help you if you experience any sensitivity of your teeth whilst going through the bleaching procedure.

For lower and upper bleaching trays and the syringes of bleaching gel you should expect to pay around 400. Its best to do one arch of your mouth at a time so that you can have something to compare the whitened teeth to. This way you can see how many shades your teeth have lightened, because everybody is different-some are sparkly white after a week of using the gel , others may take a little longer.

The people I know who have used this method of (at home) bleaching gain a very natural whitening as opposed to the in your face "armitage shanks" white-you don`t want your teeth to look like they belong to someone else! Hope this helps.

pitlane jane gives good advice about whitening your teeth at home using gel and bleaching trays. I have a colleague at work who used this technique and his teeth are noticeably whiter.

However, zoom is not an over the counter product. It is a one-off whitening treatment performed by your dentist using gel and ultra violet light. It is a bit of a pain as it involves wearing a mouthpiece to keep your teeth apart and your cheeks away from your teeth for nearly an hour. The results are immediate.

Hope this helps.
