How Did A Person Email Me From A Website Facebook Page?

I am on Facebook, solely to be able to view certain bird related web sites.

I have been posting comments this afternoon, on one particular site.

Just now, I have received an email message in my Yahoo account from one of the people who have been making comments too.

How did this person know my 'private' email address? I don't understand that.

I’m another who doesn’t use Facebook simply because I think it’s too intrusive. As I understand it (and my understanding of it is very limited) Facebook accesses users’ address books – hence all your contacts are available to Facebook. I don’t know how Tilly’s email address was obtained by another user but, from what I’ve been reading lately, with Facebook anything is possible. Terrible.

Maybe your email settings is visible to public. There are many ways to find email leads. I think the person emailed you think of you as a good lead and thus do all the hassle to manage your email. Lead generation experts can do that.
