'Best' is highly subjective. What do you want in a mobile?

I've found Virgin Mobile, Vodafone and Orange (my current operator) to all be very good, depending on what you want.

n series is ok n91 is too bulky try a sony ericsson w810i

If you want 3G services, then get a 3G-capable phone, like some of the Nokia N series, and maybe 3 as your operator.

I myself do not need to be able to see the person I'm calling, or let them see me. I just want to speak to someone occasionally, and maybe text them. So a more basic phone suits me fine. I want a phone with a good camera though, as I'd like to be able to take pictures in the moment if anything spontaneous happens. The Sony W810i would be my tip too.
