I'm studying filmmaking in college right now and I really want to make a film to put in a film festival. Since it's summer, all my friends who like being in my movies are home and this would be the perfect time to make a movie. However, I feel that since I only have 3 months with them, I really should be spending quality time hanging out with them rather than stressing on making a movie. What should I do? Should I spend the rest of the summer making a movie or should I spend it hanging out?

Make the Movie, who knows you could be the next Spielberg! Anyway making a movie will be quality time and you'll have a superb memory as well. Have you got a script/plot general idea? I'd love to be in the position to have the choice, go for it.
No contest, make the movie!
During the day be stressed out making your flick, then on an evening or weekend, go out and let your hair down. Plus you'll still be with your friends if you make the movie with them in it, I'm sure you'd probably have a good laugh.

You never know where this may lead... Go for it!
Make the movie about hanging out this summer with your friends. Trust me, anyone over the age of 25 will tell you that those last long summer holidays before you get sucked into the real world of life and work are truly special - record it to for you and your friends to treasure for ever. You'll also sort out in advance a unique gift for all your friends 40th Birthdays!!!!
Make the movie. Who knows you may well be the next Seymmore Butts.
