Well if it is raining at the meetings, like it is here, the jockeys are going to need water wings.
All meetings henceforth point us to "the festival" so it is worth looking for those prospects. Big meet over the water this weekend should provide some clues regarding the Irish horses, and whether some of the previous stars have got back their mojos. Small stake today as I would think that most of the runners are keeping a bit back for a month or so. The 6 Nations starts today and I may have a little look at a first try/winning margin punt tomorrow on the Italy England game. Good luck all to all punters.

Prime Venture @14/1 3.00 Sandown
Missed Approach @11/2 3.15 Musselburgh
Yala Enki @9/1 3.35 Sandown
Morning With Ivan @5/1 3.45 Musselburgh

£1.00 E/W Acca. 4 X 25p E/W Trebles. 6 X 25p E/W Doubles. £7.00 Total Stake, just short of £6k if all do the business.

Morning, Togo, the one horse i really, really fancy today is the fav Terrefort in the 2.25 Sandown. Henderson has won this race 4 times in recent years, Jacob has ridden the winner in the last 3 years - all for different trainers, but for the same owners as today - he and trainer share a 56% strike rate when teaming up at Sandown and the fav has obliged in 7 of the 10 runnings of this race. I have put on as much as i can afford to the detriment of my other bets, so there are no win singles with my lucky 15. Just hope i've made the correct decision - when have i ever done that?:-)

2.00 Lin; Kimbrella @ 9/2
3.00 San; Dashing Perk @ 10/1
3.15 Mus; Dancing Shadow @ 8/1
3.35 San; Shanroe Santos @ 12/1

20p lucky 15, 50p e.w. acca - 4 placed = £30, 4 winners = £5,752.

Also a treble/trixie; Cepage 1.15 San, Terrefort, Capt Chaos 2.40 Wet which, if successful, would return just over £300.

Best of luck punters
Not often i go that far out on a limb on one horse but i'm rather pleased i did - even though it was nip and tuck. I'm surprised it won because i was riding it, too, over those last few yards. A nice drift, too! What with that and the 1-1 result for The Clarets (7/1), it's already a very good day:-)
