A singular musician who relentlessly ploughed his own furrow.

I interviewed him and Brix when they were married - lovely couple, so sad, thoughts are with his family and friends.

The music industry could well do without a lot of those in it, but it needs people like Mark E Smith. It isn't just his own output, but his influence on others. I can really hear him in The Arctic Monkeys for example. RIP Mark.
