2 SD cards have so far been "corrupted " by use in this camera. Formatting not possible with the camera and laptop.
What could be the cause?
Also, when the 1st spoiled card was retried, images belonging to the 2nd SD popped up on the camera screen.

How are you trying to format the cards on your laptop?
I'm asking because formatting on a computer rather than via the camera itself initially can cause cards to become corrupted.
Question Author
I went to the SD card under "devices" in "file explorer" and tried formatting. I also tried to do so in disk management.
I see, thanks. Loads of questions now
1. Have you used the corrupted card previously in the camera without ill event?
2. Did you format the card on the laptop PRIOR to the card becoming unusable, or were they formatted via the camera usually?
3. Were the cards completely full prior to this happening?
Question Author
1. Yes, I've used the cards before with no problems; out of the blue the camera says "card cannot be accessed. reinsert/change or format the card."
2. No I have not formatted the cards on my laptop before, only via the camera.

3. No the cards were not full
Which make of card have you been using and where have you been buying them from?

You should ensure that you're only using verified cards

and that you're most definitely NOT buying them from possibly dodgy internet sources. (The MAJORITY of SD cards sold on eBay, and by Amazon traders, are FAKES).

I'm using Sandisk cards which I've bought from Best Buy. Both are class 10
