Jackdaw, but that wouldn't be practical. Volunteers would be capable of watching and reporting anything untoward but it doesn't follow that they would be capable dealing with any given situation pro-actively. I mean, imagine a load of young blokes wading ashore. How would one watcher be expected to deal with that?
Good binoculars and you could alert the authorities before they land, added bonus of fresh sea air too.
in these times one would think, the government would and should patrol our borders correctly and not cost cut, like they are doing with our military, i find it shocking. but they can find money for overseas bribes, that do not seem to show a dividend, all i see is an system slowly breaking down, the captain must be on a zero contract....
by the way im neither left or right or in between, when you get my age
one has seen to many promises, and no delivery
fender, our borders consist of around 19.5 thousand miles of coastline. Impossible to patrol.
