Can someone explain the working for why ‘Turning around for a chat’ is conversation?

Turning = CONVERSION with AT inside = around
A converse situation can be one that has been transposed or turned round. Chat also = conversation
sorry AT = FOR

I took it as double def (see Chambers).

Latin root vertere to turn.
I also parsed it as Cap'n did, not saying there's no other way.
Well done Captain. I thought for one awful moment it was something to do with the way some people relate a conversation as:
He turned round and said, "..." and then I turned round and said "..." and then he turned round and said "..."
