Perhaps it's me but I've always found it odd why people would boast of their intelligence on a completely anonymous internet forum.

Nobody cares.

And having just read some of the posts of the person who made the comment about their intelligence, well......
I believe they're secretly homosexual.
They could be using this story to cover up their true relationship.

I`ve known a couple of people who have engaged in sham marriages in my time. One of them was a gay guy who was dying of AIDS and wanted to pass his pension to his other half so he married a female friend who could pass his pension off to his other half (before the time of gay marriage) The other one was a gay guy who wanted to live in America so he entered into a marriage with his American lesbian friend. She got the UK passport and he got the US one so everyone was happy

Definitely entered a parallel universe.
I remember reading about who spinster sisters who where trying to challenge the interitance laws. Needless to say their case was thrown out. Maybe they should have lied and said that they were in some kind of relationship and then they would have been able to flout the law

Split? Not.
I can't remember the details as it was a long time ago but they were challenging the pension laws. I can't say that I blame them
