I don't understand what the 'other cap' that is not a fuel cap is for

People tend to do these jobs on automatic pilot - that's how they put the wrong fuel in the car.
She's not the only one to have made this mistake with a smart car

HC....I think the important thing is that she shouldn't have been able to make this mistake in the first place.

My Fiesta has only one outside "hole" to put anything in, and I can't even "misfuel" it.

If this is indeed a design fault, than I would expect Smart to make a urgent recall, something they have yet to do.
