Hi henrys

Generally, books will only be of value if they are the First Edition.......not always but as a rule of thumb.......

This doesn't mean all first editions will be of value though, it can depend on the quantity printed, rarety of ones still in circulation, condition (cover and pitting can lessen if bad), age of the book and if a collectable item......
Try imbc-bookcollector.co.uk but I don't think it's worth anything; thousands were printed.
You could try www.biblio.com which has quite a lot of books and the prices they are currently going at. You don't mention the year that the book was published but that would be a major factor.

If I were you I'd try to find an identical version of the book by searching the online bookshops, find one that was printed the same year, by the same publisher and (ideally) in similar condition and see how much it is being sold for.

You could also look for it on ebay?
