I have been told that to pick up wireless internet on my laptop at home from my wannadoo livebox, i need to turn on my WI - FI , ddoes anybody have any idea how to do this and how I can access the internet from my laptop using my broadband connection on my home computer?

I assume your laptop came with some instructions, either printed or on CD.

It will tell you how to do it there somewhere.

This will depend on whether your laptop supports wi fi or not. If it does, then usually there is a switch on the front (like the Toshiba Tecras) or on the side, or you may need to enable it in the control panel. If it doesn't, then you need a wi fi plug in card.
