I have been awake for hours as the bite on my back from that bloody horsefly yesterday has flared up (as i knew it would) and I now know what a humpty backed whale must feel like! I have to wear a business suit today and i am dosed up with piriton, it says I shouldn't drive or operate machinery! I wish it said, 'or sell posh shoes' I could stay at home then and pester u all for sympathy!
regards

oh gawd, poor you Dot. There is an ointment called 'crotamiton' apparently, and that helps too.....
Sending sympathy anyhows.....

Poor you Dotty, here's a bit of sympathy frrom me xxxxxxxxxx
I have never been bitten myself, but have always feared those horrible things. Do you have to go into work? Surely you have a genuine reason to be off? The tablets alone could make you feel crappy, and surely the bite would be better exposed?
And yet.....how posh are the shoes and do you get to try them on?

lol I have to go into work as I am the boss and yes i do get to try them on! Cheers guys, the store is open late tonight for account holders evening, i may be able to skive off early actually!!!!!!
you're the boss Dot, my mum doesn't do lates either, she works at Debenhams in Bournemouth lol!!! ridiculous hours, who the hell shops at 11 pm???....
You might need to go to the doctors and get some antibiotics - especially if it is swollen.
Awww, poor you.I have some Savlon here - I will cyber send it to you.xx
You can buy a little thing from boots or superdrug don't know what its called I think it might be a click it or something my mum used it on my leg a few weeks ago when I was bitten by a horse fly, it's small and blue and you place it over the bite on the skin and push down on the button it seems to send a litte shock it to the bite area but it doesn't hurt. with horsefly bites you need to do this a few times but my god it stops it itching and makes the swelling go down very quickly and no need for piriton. hope it goes quickly they are horrible bites you have my sympathies. XXX
Awwww poor you dotty :o(

I have been using some bite spray and hydrocortisone cream ~ I have an appointment at the docs later to see if it is infected and I need antibiotics.

In the meantime I am looking for some repellent cos I am damned sure this won't be the last time I am bitten badly. I wish there was some kind of immunisation..it is bloody awful!
