Treat travellers as human beings. A group recently moved onto a field owned by a friend of mine, cut off a padlock but denied it. My friend went to talk to the leaders and asked how long they needed to stay, they agreed two weeks so he put a dumpster in the field for them and rigged up a water supply. Three weeks later they left, emptied the dumpster in the field including bags of human waste, stole the dumpster, took 100m of hose and reel. All this because my friend couldn't afford a solicitor and thought if he treated them with compassion they would respond in kind. Instead, treated him as if he was stupid and soft in the head.
Gypsies have set up camp across the valley, where they were a year or so ago. They move boulders from the site entrance. Last year the mess was horrendous when they were moved on.
Quite a few of the Tesco stores in my area committed to 24 hour opening years ago, but hardly any of them still do it, so I wouldn't be surprised if Tesco are using this an excuse.
Wise move by Tesco.
