as an app tht ill send pics to my phone please?
Explanation.. Mr F not at all well, and mostly in bed. There have been odd times I NEED to be out of the house for a short time. I fret like mad as to whether he is ok or not.
I currently have a baby monitor set up on the bedroom windowsill, and I carry the little monitor around indoors.
Just got to wondering if there was such a thing I could use to check on him if for any reason I pop out for half an hour?

These are brilliant ferlew - I've got a couple set up to keep an eye on my house whilst I'm away and I know that gness has the same : Amazon.co.uk User Recommendation It's easy to set them up & link to any Android or iPhone - you can even change the view that they give you from the phone. Dave

Thank you for that SunnyDave.
I noted someone said it wasn't much cop with a Samsung Galaxy S6, and I'm pretty sure that's what my phone is.
Do you reckon I'd be able to set it up myself? Not all that savvy with phones and gadgets.
Can't you get security cameras that you access over the Net (on your mobile if desired).
Ah, just tried SD's link.

I have no idea about anything like that OG

:(
maybe even simpler than you realise, a walkie talkie with a range of 3-5 miles....?
Question Author
Thanks gentlemen, I'll do some looking at the links, and WT's.

I think a walkie/talkie would be no use, thank you. I want to be able to see him, I doubt he would talk anyway. (Is there a walkie/lookie) ? :)
Just want to check he is in bed and not on floor or flailing about.
I've only used these cameras with the iphone app, but it is pretty easy to set up and I can't see why it wouldn't work with an Android phone like the Galaxy. The instructions in the box aren't too bad at all.

The camera I linked to can be used to talk to the person, as well as receiving sound.
Hi, Ferlew....if you can use the camera Dave recommends it's brilliant.....
I have three.....two viewing outside my property and one inside which looks at the sitting/dining room and, with the aid of a large mirror, can see into the hall....
I can sit in a bar in Ireland and see and hear what's going on here and change the angle to suit......x
Omg I have got to get one of these!
Question Author
Ok, I'll order one, thank you :)

Many thanks SunnyDave and Gness, just had a young lad round to set this up for me on my phone, and it's BLIDDY BRILLIANT !!
Can see him, hear him, even speak to him if I need.
Chuffed to bits, thank you :)
I'm so glad you're finding it useful, Ferlew......they really are good.
I only wish I'd had one when my mum was in her own home and starting to get confused.....the number of times I made a ten mile dash when she didn't answer the phone to find her sitting on the sofa watching TV.....x
Question Author
I am Gness, I may even get another one or two, though the chances of him getting out of bed are pretty remote.
Poor soul barely has the strength to pull himself upright lately, let alone go walkabout, or wheelabout.
So sad when you see them like that, Ferlew......I know that....

But you can now at least leave him and still keep an eye on him...that's such a relief....x
That's good news, ferlew - I'm glad the technology is helping.

There are a lot of products described on this website (disclaimer - I was involved in the original set-up of the site, but have had no involvement for some years now) - it might be worth a browse :

Thank you SunnyDave, wish I had seen that site a couple of years ago. Not sure any of it will help at this time, trying to balance the Alzheimers and the Cancer, currently he is struggling to stay alert for more than a few minutes.
Now if only that camera could send out his pulse rate along with the picture and sound - I'd be sorted.
He was so very still, for so long, we were not sure he was still with us, hence me hurrying home this afternoon.
Feeling for you ferlew. Anyone that has cared for a loved one knows just how hard this is for you. xxx
