Phone hackers....computer hackers

Why are they not treated the same? We hear that computer hackers will spend many years in jail but without doubt when this latest phone hacker is caught will probably get a slap on the wrist. Is it because the computer hacker is doing it for kicks whereas the phone hacker is a paid up professional?

If I'm not mistaken this phone hacker was caught and has served a jail sentence. It is only now that they are checking through many, many notebooks he kept with very detailed notes about who he hacked and on whose authority. More will come about this I am sure. Lowest of the low - both the hacker and the person/s who paid him.

Well they have narrowed it down to News International and somebody in that organisation must have sanctioned it. Many said the buck should stop at the top and what does Murdoch do but set up his own inquiry. Can you imagine the editor of the News of the World facing charges?

Latest news is that the police are looking at 11,000 pieces of info over the phone hacking scandal, and 4,000 are probables, so not just a few
