Plastic Fivers

I just pulled one of the new £5 out of my pocket to pay for something and found it had torn in a jagged line down the middle. I'm not sure how it happened as they're quite hard to actually tear.
Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Yes. It baffled me. The thing is I didn't tear it taking out of my pocket. It seemed to have just been in there in two pieces already.
A bit of Sellotape did the trick though.
