Mother's day flowers

It's that time of year again, when the cost of flowers for mother's day doubles. Can anyone suggest a good online flower delivery service that they could recommend? The problem being, that if someone receives a dreadful half dying bunch of flowers, they're reluctant to complain to the person who's sent them because it sounds so ungrateful, so the florists get away with a lot. I remember my husband ordering a bunch of flowers for his mother, it turned out later that they'd run out of flowers and delivered a rubber plant instead. I know that stores like Tesco and M & S offer a service but I don't know how good they are. Thank you. bizzylizzy

Well although I hate to go with the obvious, I have ordered three (very different) bunches of flowers lately, all from InterFlora and all three have been perfect. Unfortunately, they're one of the most expensive companies. One reason that flowers are "half dying" is if you've chosen an obscure company, which needs to travel a long way with them to deliver them... InterFlora has shops all over.

Alternatively, pop into your local Post Office (all of them should know what you're on about and provide details, even little village ones) and ask about Bunches. They're another good company, which could prove cheaper and just as reliable.
WWW.BUNCHES.CO.UK - Great company, always deliver on time and I use them every time I need flowers

Thanks for your help. I'll try bunches. I've had problems in the past with Interflora. Mind you the last time I used them was at least 5 years ago, so they've probably improved. bizzylizzy
I go to yell, find the name and number of a small local florist and deal with them directly. They seem pleased to be dealt with like this (maybe interflora charge them to be part of the scheme) and I have never been disappointed over 10 years and florists in three towns
I'm with woofgang on this one. I always deal with a local florist, found through Yell. I've certainly never had any problems and for a change have had a plant display delivered. They always seem pleased to help.
