Yes, you need photographic ID. It doesn't have to be a passport, but must be an official document. The ones the airline accept should be listed on their website.

Make sure to check it as, here in Belfast, we are always getting stories in the papers about wee grannies turned away at the last minute because they just had a bus pass!
