My parents paid for our reception. £420.00. :-) I still have the receipt.

We paid for the rest of it ourselves. I had been away from home for a good number of years, so didn't expect my mum and dad to fork out lots of money.
I thought the kiddies looked cute.
I didn't know that the man she has married was so wealthy and I thought the Middletons have probably made a lot of money since their eldest daughter married who she did. There's something about Pippa that I'm not sure about. Don't know why, but she reminds me of Wallis Simpson.
I do wonder what attracted Pippa Middleton 31 to millionaire James Mathews 41 ?
That's been done before, Anne. :-)
Just goes to show that money does not buy class!!
What does, Islay?
I thought her dress was beautiful. It was in the style of the 1950s dresses that were so classy.
I thought it was extremely 'classy'. I'm interested to know why Islay thinks it's not.
Servitude ecclescake? Maybe not the first word to spring to mind when describing a life of privilege, being fawned over and feted by many for no discernible reason.

Dress was pretty, great fashion show.
I thought it was lovely. Having seen some of the guests outfits though, they leave a lot to be desired.

Weird is the word I would use. Except for Kate's of course.
I agree. Some of the guests look awful!
Lovely dress... really suited her, as did Kate's. But I think slightly longer, fitted sleeves may have been nicer.
Children looked sweet...but knee length trousers for the boys might have been better than pantaloons.
