The ‘N’ word … the ‘P’ word… we know what we mean when we say this and everyone else knows what we’re talking about, but say the word that’s in your head and in everyone else’s head and you’re branded! How ridiculous we have become. Most people who are deemed racist are actually concerned about a clash of cultures – and that isn’t...

/// ... says the man who protests at being called a Brit. ///

I am all for a level playing field, I am sick of it being all one sided for a selected protected few, so I thought if you can't beat them, then join them.

I can dream but I don't suppose that the word Brit will ever be classed the "B" word.
If we all go around uttering "n word" (pron. ennword) will soon, "ennword" have the same currency as the word it has replaced and become itself forbidden, I wonder?
So you want 'Brit' to be come an offensive term?
I do not believe that millions of people have the same mindset, emotions, intelligence, humanity, compassion, greed, goals just because they share a nationality.
I am an individual - as is everyone else.
I am English, my ancestry is English, but I can't identify with football hooligans, lager louts, vandals, thieves, rapists, paedophiles, murderers, scientists, mathematicians, artists, geniuses or opera lovers - plenty of whom are English.

No, I am not a racist
no i'm not
Meaning of the word Racist:
/// a person who shows or feels discrimination or prejudice against people of other races, ///

One could say that it is racist to put certain restrictions on people from foreign climes entering into one's country.

/// or who believes that a particular race is superior to another. ///

Judging by some particular races ways, who truthfully couldn't say that one's own particular race is superior to theirs?
Which 'particular races' AOG?
hc ; //I am an individual//
Meaningless! How long would you last into even one day without complete dependence on others?
Khandro, I don't know what you mean. I am an individual and not a clone, as is everybody else.
hc, What I mean is, though you may be a single human specimen, your existence is dependent on others. When I ask how long you would last into one day, you need to consider say, even your first cup of tea; someone had to make the kettle for you, provide the water and the electricity, grow and harvest the tea and transport it to you via many hands, and then there is the milk and sugar. When you think about it thousands of people been involved and you have only just got up! :0)
It's kind of basic Buddhism, though it hasn't necessarily got a lot to do with the OP.
Oh...I thought hc meant his thoughts were individual.

No such thing as a football hooligan, hc.

AOG, I was spoken to by a Pakistani when delivering to a Bus / Council Dep in Sheffield many years back, he give me some stick about various things , did I jump and report him? I could not be rsed, but he said something I honestly did not hear, I just said speak English will you, the *** hit the fan then, I did not know this until I was reloading for the same place out of Nelson, when I had to explain to the Transport Office what went on they then said it was ok to re-deliver, the load was diverted, I made it known what I thought about this person at the delivery point, I was told that the person that had spoken to me like *** was well known for it, was this one sided? I will let the goodies decided on this.
