Oak logs?

Where can I get some oak logs, i don't want to go and cut a tree down but i don't know where to go to get some.
Yew or willow would be good aswell.

They are for carving by the way.
You could get in touch with your local Parks division of the council they will often allow the public take away or buy some of the larger bougs that they have to cut down. Or try a few tree surgeons ans see if they would oblige, This would obviously be green wood for carving. Other good woods for carving are Lime very pale soft and no difficult grain, Holly also pale witjh little grain problems but a little harder. Fruit woods such as pear apple and any of the prunis. Tree sugeons are often called to remove or prune these trees!
That should be Boughs!!
