I bought these recenly because there was a 2 for 1 offer on them. Result - itching (himself) and flaky skin (me). Anyone else have similar problems? I found this odd because I'm not particular selective about what washing powders etc I use.

I have avoided Persil for years after a similar experience - the doc at the time told me that Persil is renowned for causing allergies. Presumably many millions of people have no reaction though or they wouldn't keep selling it!!!
I can't comment on the liquid but Persil powder did make my hands very sore after using it for a small amount of handwashing. Maybe the liquid was too much for the wash load... saw an article once that said the amount recommended on wash powders was too high but you can't adjust with capsules. Maybe an extra rinse would help.
I use Ariel Liquitabs and think they are terrific.Much cleaner to use and have been told they are kinder to washing machine.
